Few years back me and my friends used to see IIT like a place which was impossible for a Kashmiri to get in by studying in Kashmir only. My thinking changed only when I saw some students at RiSE making it to top IIT’s. But still, my parents, after listening to people about how difficult JEE Advanced is did not expect me to clear this exam as i was an average student. If RiSE was not there, I wouldn’t have even thought of geting into IIT. The support and guidence from my mentors at RiSE instilled a sense of belief in me and this belief got me what I had dreamt of.
